Eliza Hamilton’s Song

Chorale and Bella Voce at Midland Center for the arts presented “Eliza Hamilton’s Song” on November 10, 2018. I had the pleasure of playing four-hand arrangements of “The Nightengale” and “The Girl I Left Behind Me” by Dan Forrest, as well as playing keyboard for Lexi Lawson (Eliza Hamilton from Lin-Manuel Maranda’s “Hamilton”). Below are a few pictures and a rehearsal clip with Lexi Lawson.

The Lord’s Prayer – for Today: Now available

Albert H. Malotte’s beloved setting of “The Lord’s Prayer” gets a refreshing piano-vocal treatment – for today – with new harmonies and flourishes, bringing an old standard into the 21st century. The piano accompaniment is challenging but rewarding, and the familiar vocal line gets a few new treatments.
Suitable for church or concert hall.

All FIVE settings are available:

(These settings are available only on SheetMusicPlus. I am not authorized to sell or distribute these separately due to copyrights held by Hal Leonard and G. Schirmer.)

Premiere of “Thank You” by Ray Boltz (arr. Jantz A. Black)

On June 25, 2017, Circle of Praise premiered a special arrangement of the 1988 hit by Ray Boltz titled “Thank You.” The SSA and piano arrangement was commissioned to celebrate the retirement of a beloved pastor.

The video clip is from a pre-service rehearsal, hence the gentleman crossing the steps and the slight background noise.
